  1. Prepare 5 ripe tomatoes
  2. Prepare 1/2 tsp salt
  3. Take 1/2 tsp Bush orange red food colour(ISI certified)
  4. Use 1/4 th tsp Sodium Benzoate
  5. Use 1/4 th cup water
  6. Prepare 1 tsp vinegar

  1. Chop tomatoes discarding stems and pressure cook upto 2 whistles with little water and salt.Cool and blend in a blender.Strain the pulp in a strainer.Discard seeds and residue.
  2. Boil the pulp with food colour, sodium benzoate and 1 tsp vinegar. Food colour may be replaced with a slice of boiled beetroot while boiling tomatoes. Cool and store in a bottle and refrigerate.
